To nationalize would mean to civilize
A World super power and apex of the global webbing, the United States aims for change and the comfort for American citizens. Although our goals are set, unemployment rates and housing sales are making it counter productive. As Americans we pray for the day we move passed this obstacle and push forward to a better economy in order to do so we must do our parts as citizens and play our cards, which we are dealt.
The United States needs a solution that will protect vulnerable Americans from further
Catastrophe. (M.Brady, Student voice:” The United States Needs to nationalize now”. Pg.198)
The idea of nationalization became popular due to ‘bail outs’ and media. The United States government, for example, passed a $700 billion bailout package in October of 2008 and a $787 billion stimulus package in February 2009, also giving ample financial assets to banks. While the government taxes us, we have nobody else to turn to except the government. this makes the idea of nationalization much more appealing, which is why the proposal has garnered approval and media. To nationalize would benefit the investors and reimburse those who have lost a significant amount of money in their ventures and help Americans understand how they were ordained in the positions they’re in now. How will our economy survive if change isn’t established? To create nationalized banks could potentially show weakness and strike panic into the masses. In turn, our decision must give financial institutions all the necessary tools to improve themselves so that we may sell their stock back into private sectors and help reduce government ownership.
I say we nationalize, improve business with progressive financiers, and start the deliberate and diligent process towards privatization. Nationalization will replace one-sided management and generally improve fiscal complications. (M.Brady, Student voice:” The United States Needs to nationalize now” pg.202). Banks owned by governments are detrimental to Americans, our economy isn’t perfect, businesses need more money, and politicians are being voted out of office because of money. To give up is apathy; we must roll with the punches.
Americans have a lot more say in our government then most countries do. We must take advantage of our special circumstance and rebuild a nations collapsing economy and even bite the bullet and nationalize.
